Brahms loved Clara Schumann all his life, in 1889 as in 1854. In 1855 Johannes Brahms wrote to Clara Schumann: "I can do nothing but think of you... What have you done to me? Can't you remove the spell you have cast over me?"
Come and enjoy a one of a kind evening of chamber music by Johannes Brahms and Clara Schumann, hear excerpts from their letters and diaries read by our host, Angela Fusco, hear the crystal clear tone of the RX6 piano from Merriam Pianos, and enjoy great coffee and desserts with the performers at intermission.
Seasoned, professional, senior performers will perform the well loved Brahms Horn Trio, Brahms Hungarian Dances, selected Brahms songs, Clara Schumann Romances, and Clara Schumann Songs for Soprano. Anchoring this program will be the versatile concert pianist, Eileen Keown who performs throughout the program with Peggy Hills on violin, James MacDonald on french horn and Jennifer Tung soprano/piano.
Not to be missed! Tickets available at door (cash only) or visit our web site to order. www.chambermusicmississauga.org

What will the children learn? What are the benefits for them?
The teachers themselves often lack the skills, confidence and resources to teach curriculum for the performing arts. Yet it is these schools, with high populations of youth-at-risk and children from new Canadian families who would benefit the most from these programs.
By continuing to access funding from the private sector to pay professional performers and by presenting engaging, curriculum-based cultural programs in these schools, the CMSM will fill this gap and create new audiences for the future.
